Job Summary

Summary: when necessary, prepares, displays, and serves food.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• carries out preparation tasks such washing, peeling, chopping, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• measures and weighs the specified ingredients.
• transports food in line with safety regulations in pans, kettles and trays to and from workstations, the stove and the refrigerator.
• Food is stored in specified areas in accordance with the rotation, packaging, dating, and food safety protocols.
• cleans the workplace, the tools, and the utensils.
• distributes materials, tools, and portable equipment.
• ensures proper quality, appropriate serving temperatures, and standardised portion control by using authorised food recipes and production standards.
• follows stated service processes while providing consumers with courteous, effective service.
• resolves customer issues and informs supervisor with pertinent information.
• Ensures adherence to inventory, cash, and service standards for the company.
• ensures that all sanitary and safety criteria are met.
• does other tasks as directed.
